Arsenal will face Liverpool, while Chelsea will play Tottenham in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
Though, not yet certain, reports suggest that the semi-finals are set to be played over two legs. There are deliberations on whether or not to make it a one – legged encounter.

Liverpool have not won the competition since 2012 which was their eight time of winning it. The last time Arsenal won the competition was in 1993.

An own goal by Pontus Janson and a well – taken penalty by Jorginho were enough to give Chelsea a spot in the semifinals.
The last time Tottenham won the league cup was in 2008, when goals from Dimitar Berbatov and Jonathan Woodgate beat Chelsea 2-1.
The first leg of the semifinals will take place on the week commencing January 3 and the second leg will be played on the next week commencing January 10, while the final will be played at Wembley on February 27.
